Thank you for visiting the Crystal Cottage website. Here’s a little bit of information about me, so you know who I am, as well as the types of treatments, therapies and training I provide for my clients.

Who is behind Crystal Cottage?

Hello, my name is Theresa. I am a married mum to 4 wonderful children and a crazy dog! We live in Prudhoe, surrounded by the beautiful Northumbrian countryside.

Caring for other people has played a prominent part in my life, both at home and at work. My career started as a Care Assistant in a residential home after I left school and then through the years I progressed to being an Assistant Manager supporting adults with Learning Disabilities to live independently in the community. Following some major life changes in 2013 and a period of ill health, I began to investigate different types of complementary/holistic therapies and looked at how they could be used for relaxation and health benefits especially with regard to: Stress, Depression, Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. What really appealed to me about holistic therapies was the duality. Not only are they relaxing but they can assist the body to work harmoniously which in turn promotes the bodies own self healing. My attunement to Usui Reiki took me onto the the next step in my spiritual path and I just knew that I wanted to help people from a holistic perspective rather than a medical perspective. I therefore made the monumental decision to leave my job in order to expand upon my current skills and qualifications by training in holistic therapies and focus on setting up a business where I could provide a range of treatments that benefit mind, body and soul. Since making the change in my career direction I have become qualified in many different healing modalities, including Usui Reiki Master Teacher and Access Consciousness® Bars, Facelift & Body Process facilitator. I am dedicated to helping other people, it is one of my greatest passions in life and my desire is to make holistic therapies and healing energies accessible to all people so they can experience the benefits of therapeutic treatments to health and well-being. Every person is individual and unique which is why I always recommend a free consultation with me to discuss your requirements as I can create a bespoke package of treatments to address the areas of your life, body & wellbeing that you wish to improve.

The Future Plans

I have a vision for Crystal Cottage. It is to open up a holistic retreat where people can come to stay and escape the stresses of every day life. A place of tranquility and calm where you can experience a variety of treatments that you leave relaxed, yet refreshed and invigorated. The Crystal Cottage retreat will provide Reiki & Energy Healing training alongside holistic therapy training in a relaxed and tranquil environment so that the skills of generations past can be carried on into the future ensuring we can always find the peace within. While I manifest my vision, I am keen to continue my professional development and and will be investing in further training including: Access Consciousness® Certified Facilitator Training.
